Effective date: 27 October 2026 | Operator: Romy
1. The service
Movie Bot is an independently operated Discord application and information website for tracking movies and TV, writing reviews, keeping lists, and discovering titles. The website is publicly readable. Movie Bot can be installed in Discord servers by members with the required installation permissions. Features and availability may change as the service develops.
2. Using Movie Bot
Use the service in accordance with Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and applicable law. You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirements for your country. Do not use Movie Bot to harass others, publish unlawful material, impersonate someone, expose another person’s private information, or interfere with the service.
Do not probe for private data, bypass access controls or rate limits, use stolen credentials, or submit files you are not entitled to import. Server administrators remain responsible for their own server rules and channel permissions.
3. Your content and choices
You remain responsible for your reviews, lists, bio, and imported material. You retain any rights you hold in that content. By submitting it, you allow Movie Bot to store, process, and display it as needed to provide the features and visibility settings you choose. Public bot profiles can be read by other Discord members through supported commands; private drafts and exports remain owner-only.
Use spoiler flags where appropriate. Making a profile private does not recall copies or messages that were already shared. You can export your data and request account-wide deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Third-party information
Movie information and artwork come from TMDB. Streaming availability comes from JustWatch through TMDB. Letterboxd imports use a user-supplied export or public RSS feed. Information may be incomplete, out of date, or unavailable. Streaming listings do not guarantee access to a title or any particular price.
This product uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB. Movie Bot is not affiliated with Discord, Letterboxd, TMDB, or JustWatch.
5. Availability and changes
The service is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted access or error-free information. Features may change or be withdrawn, particularly during private testing. Backups and draft recovery help protect data, but you should keep your own copies of writing you value. The dashboard’s availability history describes recorded observations, not an uptime commitment.
6. Access restrictions
The operator may restrict abusive use, remove content that violates these terms, or stop providing the service. The website does not currently sell subscriptions or accept payments. If that changes, relevant terms will be published before paid features are offered.
7. Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for losses caused by service interruptions, inaccurate third-party data, or content submitted by users. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes and contact
Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Contact Romy in Romy’s Studio with service questions, privacy requests, or reports of misuse.
